What is the Gymnastix Rec League?
A FUN, recreational league for girl’s competitive gymnastics.

Does my child need any gymnastics experience?
No. There is no experience necessary to be on a Gym Catz (Level 1) team.
The Gym Flamz (Level 2) or Gym Starz (Level 3) teams require an evaluation
and approval.

What are the age requirements for rec team athletes?
Team members must be in Kindergarten for the ‘06-’07 school year.

How will athletes be placed on teams?
Team placement is based upon the athlete’s skill level corresponding to our
recreational program skill evaluation sheets and at the discretion of the
Coach. Register at the front office.

How can my child advance to the next team?
A gymnast can be evaluated for initial placement on a higher level team by
the coaching staff only. Once the athlete is assigned a team level the only
way to advance to the next level is to achieve the minimum mobility score
at TWO competitions.

What is the commitment level?
A mere nine or ten-weeks, the length of the session. Athletes are committed
to their team for the entire session. No long-term commitment beyond
the session is required.

How many competitions are there and where are they held?
Competitions will be held at Gymnastix Training Center once per session.
These competitions will usually be at the end of each respective session.

How much practice will there be?
Practices are two days per week for all teams. Each practice will last for
either one hour, one hour and thirty minutes, or two hours, based on the
level of the team. There will also be a summer camp for any interested
athlete to get more prepared for competitions.

How much does it cost?
Session tuition for the Gym Catz is $255, the Gym Flamz is $289, and the
Gym Starz is $323. These prices are the Xtra Value prices. Regular pricing,
annual registration fees, and late fee information can be obtained at the
front office. A team leotard per team is the required uniform. The cost is
yet to be determined. There is a competition entry fee of $15 per athlete
per competition.
