Purpose Statement

  • The purpose of our organization is to promote fitness, personal accomplishments and discipline in an environment where children can learn sportsmanship, team building and self confidence.

    Our booster club financially supports the competitive teams at GTC. These athletes train and compete on local, regional and national levels based on individual accomplishments. The USA Gymnastics program provides an opportunity for gymnasts to train to a level for their highest potential.

    Gymnastix Training Center Booster Club is a tax exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3).

GTC Booster Club Summary

Fundraising

We host 2 to 4 competitions per year. A portion of the profits is credited to the family’s account based on how much each family worked during the competition. Credits are only distributed based upon the number of sessions worked within the specific stipulations of each respective competition.  Sign Up Genius is our method to sign up for sessions.  Please read the specific policies and procedures in the sign up and the email instructing families of the processes.  The average credit per session worked is approximately $50-$80. If you work 3 sessions per meet at 3 meets per year, you could earn up to $720 per year.  If you have any questions regarding competition credits, email the Meet Coordinator, Melissa Karr, at meetcoordinator@gymnastix.net within thirty (30) days of the respective competition.

COMPETITIONS

This program offers gift cards to a large variety of retailers (restaurant, shopping, etc) through the GTC Booster Club and earn money for your child’s Booster Club account while purchasing items you would buy anyway. The profit percentage varies from 2%-18% or more.

Other fundraisers are selected based on family participation/interest. Past fundraisers have included Chick-fil-a calendars, Honey Baked Ham certificates, yard sales, car wash, pasta, cookie dough and many others.

Sponsorship

Our boys and girls teams appreciate all community support. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please complete the form and then print it and give your sponsorship payment to the family you are sponsoring.

GTC Parent Responsibility for Sponsors

  • 100% of sponsorship PROFIT will go towards the athlete's Booster Club account (to be used to offset future charges).

    Payments to the Booster Club should be in the form of checks made payable to GTC Booster Club. Please relay the following statement to potential sponsors: "Please consult with your tax advisor regarding potential tax benefits related to their contribution to the GTC Booster Club."

  • The parent involved is responsible for determining which benefits the sponsor would like to receive (within their contribution level). Some family related businesses elect to skip benefits that involve cost so more of the sponsorship contributions can be used towards the athlete. If a sponsor is due an item that needs to be purchased, the parent should purchase and deliver the item. In the benefits section below are details on how each benefit is obtained. The parent involved is responsible for ensuring all desired benefits are provided to the sponsor.

  • There is no limit to the sponsorship amount that an athlete may raise. There is no "deadline" for sponsorships. However, when approaching sponsors, parents may choose to keep two points in mind. First, if your goal is to have your Booster Club charges covered by sponsorship contributions keep in mind your payment due dates. Second, benefits will only be effective for the current competition season. With that in mind, a sponsor acquired earlier in the season has more benefit time.

  • Booster Club parents should email Jerri Barge prior to approaching a business for a sponsorship. The Booster Club will maintain a list of businesses being approached for sponsorships. This will ensure that one business will not be contacted by multiple GTC Booster Club families. Sponsors must meet with the approval of Gymnastix Training Center and GTC Booster Club and can not be in direct competition with them or their affiliates.

  • The athlete who initially obtains a sponsor will have the first opportunity to contact the sponsor regarding renewals for future years. When the athlete leaves the gym, the account will be available for another family to take over the sponsorship and related responsibilities. If you are interested in upcoming available sponsorship opportunities, please contact Jerri Barge at jerri@tymar.net.

  • In the event questions arise, Booster Club parents should email Jerri Barge at jerri@tymar.net. Parents should relay clarifications, as needed, to potential sponsors. Please do not have potential sponsors contact Jerri directly. By the parents obtaining clarifications, the parents will become better educated on this program and will be better equipped to answer questions of potential sponsors.
